The Association for Economic Research of Indigenous Peoples is a professional association of economists, political scientists, sociologists, policy practitioners, and others who are interested in economic research related to Indigenous peoples across the globe.

Our Mission

The mission of the Association for Economic Research of Indigenous Peoples is to facilitate intellectual exchange, foster networking and information sharing, encourage and promote teaching and research on topics related to the social and economic development of Indigenous peoples. We also seek to educate students, prospective scholars and the public about the field. We facilitate that by holding an annual meeting, sponsoring research events and conference sessions, publicizing related research, and providing a centralized depository for data sets, research and events.

The Association’s Bylaws can be accessed here.
